Dudeguy and I are gallivanting up and down the Oregon coast at present, so I may be a little sluggish at getting comments posted/answered.  I’m trying to get back to nature and ish, so I’m not hovering over my computer as usual.

I will be answering all of your questions in a separate post when I get back.  I wouldn’t send you guys on a fruitless journey to the center of my mind.  ;D

Oh…and of course, I left my camera in L.A.

If you haven’t been here before, imagine LOTS of trees, several species of birds that I’ve only seen on the Discovery channel and lots of wild blackberries everywhere.  Imagine Twin Peaks, only larger and less freaky with more rain.  And seals.

I guess it was only a matter of time before I found a clog incarnate that was worthy enough to add to my incredible shrinking shoe collection (as bass-ackwards as that sounds, it’s the truth).  I blame this one and this blog…and by extension, this one for showing me that blog.  Curse all of you for convincing me that these are best styled with the many pairs of jeans and slouchy things I own.

*shakes fist*

No, they aren’t Celine (sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit), but they’re good enough.  Actually, they’re GREAT.  These joints are more comfortable and interesting looking than any flats I own and given my usual lax style of dressing, that bodes extremely well for their future.

Of note: I’m pretty sure these came off of the same assembly line as the Jeffrey Campbell versions which cost nearly twice as much.  The only differences I could spot were stitch size and color/leather combinations.  If you’re in the market, I suggest you get to comparison shopping.  After that (and if you can), go to a physical store to get them.  They run small and the novelty just might wear off before you hand over your money.

Seriously.

It just dawned on me that this blog is 2 years old (tomorrow…I think…don’t feel like checking…and I suck at dates).

** UPDATE: Ok, I checked.  Turns out it was August 12th…yeaaaaaaaaaaah. **

I’m still not sure how serious he was when he said this.  Given his love for Woody Guthrie and the hobo-life, I’m not really sure I want to know.

Are we sensing a theme yet?  A sort of “Alicia likes people who are weird for the sake of weird and embrace the hell out of it” theme?  Yeah?  Good, because that’s kind of the theme.

Despite the numerous moments of WIN contained in this visual masterpiece, I don’t think it was widely released.  Between Mannie’s wig game, dance tutorials, and all the glitter/leopard print/crushed velvet, I still can’t comprehend why this happened. 

Now sliiiide and do the waterfall.  Sliiiide and let the rain come down.

Answer: definitely not me.  In fact, I’m still trying to process how and if all of this really happened.  

Only in America can a lowly “fashun” blogger get on a respected news outlet for Photoshop fuckery.

While I really didn’t expect the #brownTwitterbird thing to become a meme on Twitter, go viral, and then land me a mention on NPR’s “All Things Considered” (umm, WHAT?!?!) I was happy to have played a part in fostering creativity while “taking the piss” out of an article that ruffled a lot of feathers (no pun intended…ok, maybe a little bit).

In true Alicia form, I grabbed a fistful of mini cupcakes and s’mores tarts (shouts out to Duck Duck Mousse) and a cup of Stella.  With vitals secured and wonderment in my eyes (due to tons of well dressed people/glitter/caution tape tees), it was time to celebrate the line and that so many of my favorite folks were hanging out in one place.
