It’s been raining.   Time to break out the layers, beanies and well-worn boots…

…at least until two days from now when I’ll probably need shorts. Gotta love SoCal weather.

Some things just never leave you.

I posted about this color combo a while back and am only now trying it out for myself.  Dudeguy wasn’t digging it, but he doesn’t dig a lot of things I do – like making the boy dance to Big Sean.  Whatevs.  I maintain that if you’re “hip” enough to appreciate the “Dance” song in all of its ingenious ign’ance, you can appreciate the coral and camel color combination.  There.  I said it.

Besides, it was high time I integrate something obnoxiously bright and far to the left of my usual black and blue denim.  Mission accomplished.

In other news, my mom thought my hair was a weave.  I’ve never been more motivated to keep from cutting it.  Holler at your twist-out.

Notice that I am outside of my home…in a nursing tank…and not on Target grounds. This is a rare occurrence.  As such, I thought I’d “live it up” and not put on the jeans that I’ve been wearing for the past three days!  And wear heels!!  And earrings!!!

Baby steps, people.  Baby steps.

I’m not sure if I’d call it an aversion to the process, but I just can’t seem to stay on the path of growing out my hair.  Eh.  I’d much rather something low-maintenance for this point in my life.  I really don’t have the energy to do battle with a ‘fro in the making.

I’ve been missing the blog.  What used to be my excuse to not just abandon all effort when getting ready in the mornings is slowly slipping by the wayside with each and every week of this pregnancy (I’ll be at 31 weeks this Thursday).  I figure that with my hair now giving off shades of Dwayne-Wayne, I can’t totally throw in the towel when it comes to dress…even if that means doing the bare minimum of throwing a blazer over an oversized shirt – always effective when you want to trick people into thinking you spent time putting yourself together in the morning.

Oh, and adding a kickass bag never hurts.  I freakin’ LOVE this thing.

I’ve always loved this color.   Imagine my excitement when I found out it came in polish form!  That quickly waned though, because I have a problem with hoarding nail polish…so many sitting on my shelf.

*single tear*

I bought a bottle of China Glaze’s “For Audrey” a couple of seasons ago and never really used it, but now that my nails are ridiculously long…well…now, I’m really using it.  Much more impact when you’re working with more than just stubs on stubs.

In other news, the closet overflow shop is now up and running.  Not much in there for now, but I plan on adding a bit every so often.  =)

I was lucky enough to get the last of my size in these via Amazon and they are all I dreamed.  Just the right amount of “I know that pregnant chick is not wearing those crazy, high ass wedges” to add to the most simple of outfits…like this one…and every other one I wear…  Serving as an incubator while working full time doesn’t really lend itself to much creativity in dress.  I’m not complaining, though; that’s what the tumblr is for.
