November 21 2010

DKNY sweater via Hoodweezy
self-designed necklace
vintage shirt via WGACA swap
Zara belt
F21 jeans
Steve Madden shoes

Back to my old shtick in the backyard.  It’s cold and this is the best I know how to layer.  Notice my exposed ankles.

Weekends should be longer.  I wasted most of this one on a half-assed mission to find sunglasses that you needed a color-coded wristband to even think about getting and standing in line, waiting to get Ikea meatballs.  Yes, that’s right.  Damn the furniture, I go there to eat.

——–

Sooooo…did anyone draw blood/lose an eye/sock someone/hover menacingly over another person waiting for them to leave something for you to grab at H&M this weekend?  Tell me stories.

    still looove those shoes!

I think our summer in Vegas has been so long I feel similarly defunct in now dressing appropriately for the cold!

sorry to hear about your guys’ yard sale thingy, are you doing it next weekend?!

I never know how to dress when it gets cold. It confuses me.

anyhoo, is everything cool? i moved this weekend and haven't sleep in like a day and a half. i'm gonna go read the post right under this one for clues. :)
oh, and i think i'm not motivated enough to let h&m trick me into buying their designer-designed duds.

Love the outfit! I used to ha pair of shoes that color – I would buy the same pair every year in grammar school. I wonder if there’s a pair tucked away in my parents’ place somewhere.

I’m actually surprised I haven’t heard much about Lanvin x H&M craziness. Maybe the blog posts will start filtering in today.

I cant’ understand why I didn’t have a pair in this color before. Kinda want a backup pair…

And from what I saw, it was pretty organized…but like, velvet rope at the club organized. We went to look at the spectacle and were totally confused. LOL.

    1. awesome jewels!

    2. fuck yeah weekends should be longer!

    3. I always eat cakes at Ikea.

    4. here in Slovenia, the H&M massacre is due wednesday. I ain’t in danger though cause I’m doing it my way, as follows:
    - don’t give a fuck.
    - ignore their stupid rules.
    - laugh at the thought of people actually queueing for their ten minutes shopping opportunity.
    - pop in later, after the smoke has cleared, to check out the items in peace.

GREAT Strategy. I’m guessing that time will be around 1:30 PM.

The cakes are SO good at Ikea too. Chocolate overload all day.

Uhm, yeah, Lanvin fail for me. I wanted the sunglasses too only to find out that the Vegas store opening (and therefore collection release) is postponed until December. WTF?
But on to happier things: you look awesome. I want that sweater. It’s perfect for ankle-exposing pants, skirts and… anything else you might wear on the bottom.

You’re beautiful. And no, I don’t get tired of commenting that. And yes, I mean every single time I do.

I need new eyeglasses and every time I see yours, I’m reminded that I need my own. Where are yours from again?

As for H&M, not a chance in hell. For starters, I live in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by insanely rich old white people, who most definitely don’t know what a H y M is…further, the blogsphere has been a m-e-s-s over the Lanvin collaboration which I personally think 1) isn’t that amazing and won’t flatter 99.9% of those who purchased the pieces.
Did you read the bit on NYMag about how women were dropping $1200 to $4000 on the collab? Real talk — where are these broads finding that kind of loot to spend on a Made in China collaboration? [please disclose said location to The Queen of Hearts]

    That necklace is dope.
I really hardly cared about that H&M x Lanvin collab. I almost wanted a couple of pieces but didn’t want to scuffle with other fashion bloggers/bloggettes in the “skreets” lolz. I’m looking forward to Lagerfeld & Macys though.
