In 1979, Henry Flynt documented the work of two high school graffiti artists – Al Diaz and Jean-Michel Basquiat – who had for the past two years taken to scrawling cryptic messages on the streets and walls of Manhattan.

and so is random tagging.
i wish i were artistic. wanted to be one of those cool kids you see with a sketchpad and headphones…perhaps with converse on. and jesus hair. alas. my hair grows up. totally rules me out.

The first thing that gets me excited entering any foreign city is the graffiti. We don’t seem to have it on the same level here in northern ireland.
I personally love it, the more random and obscure the better
