I think we can all agree that finding your true passion and living your life’s purpose is one of the keys to happiness. But what if you can’t pinpoint just one passion? What if you have a variety of seemingly unrelated things that you’re passionate about? What then, huh?  This simply means that you’re a Rainbow person – or have a Renaissance Soul. Some people have a super specialized skill – I’m looking at you lifelong novelist – but others have a multitude of talents and skills that they’re passionate about. In order to achieve true, authentic happiness, we must remember to take all of our passions into account. Here are 4 Ways To Nurture Your Renaissance Soul.

Pinpoint Your Interests – The most important step in developing a life that encompasses all of your interests is actually nailing down what they are. Make a list of all of the activities that make you ridiculously happy and fulfilled. Then rank each interest.

Gauge Your Feelings – Think about how you’d like to feel in your everyday life. Is it essential that you feel creative every day? Or maybe you need to feel connected or powerful. Also, survey your core values. What are absolute deal breakers for you? Look at your top interests and select the ones that fulfill how you need to feel. And make sure that they line up with your core values.

Develop Your Working Style – Do you enjoy working on one thing until completion before switching gears or do you prefer to juggle 2 or 3 projects at a time? Decide how you like working and then schedule your projects accordingly. Maybe you’ll work on 3 big projects a year, taking 4 months to complete each. Or maybe you’ll decide you prefer switching off between 2 projects at a time. Figure out what works best for you so that you can achieve the best amount of flow.

Consider an Umbrella Career – An umbrella career is a career that brings together several of your talents and passions. For example, I’m a life coach, which allows me to adequately use my passion for helping people. But it also gives me the chance to write, speak, market, and develop programs. How can you bring your passions together into one career? Can you put a unique spin on a standard career by bringing several of your passions together?

When it comes down to it, it’s important to realize that we’re all different. Some of us are super specialized in our skills while others are Rainbow people and have a multitude of passions. Whatever you decide to do, make sure that you stay true to your true passions and skills.  Don’t listen to people who say you have to choose one passion and stick with it. It’s completely possible to nurture your Renaissance soul by taking everything that makes you fulfilled into account.
