…outfit post: clog-a-ma-jig… (moment of vanity)
I missed my 10-year high school reunion this weekend. No, that doesn’t have anything to do with the rest of this post, but it felt like a great opening. Roll with it.
Bakers clog wedge thingies

AA jeans
Rossmore necklace
I guess it was only a matter of time before I found a clog incarnate that was worthy enough to add to my incredible shrinking shoe collection (as bass-ackwards as that sounds, it’s the truth). I blame this one and this blog…and by extension, this one for showing me that blog. Curse all of you for convincing me that these are best styled with the many pairs of jeans and slouchy things I own.
*shakes fist*
No, they aren’t Celine (sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit), but they’re good enough. Actually, they’re GREAT. These joints are more comfortable and interesting looking than any flats I own and given my usual lax style of dressing, that bodes extremely well for their future.
Of note: I’m pretty sure these came off of the same assembly line as the Jeffrey Campbell versions which cost nearly twice as much. The only differences I could spot were stitch size and color/leather combinations. If you’re in the market, I suggest you get to comparison shopping. After that (and if you can), go to a physical store to get them. They run small and the novelty just might wear off before you hand over your money.

I just bought a pair of Bakers shoes the other day for the first time and they were pretty cute, never realized I would. I saw yours there too, I think they look awesome, I think the shoes have gone to the heads at JC. They charge soooo much for shoes that arent even leather. It’s kind of ridiculous.
Anyway, my ten year reunion is next year and Im kind of freaking out about it already. I’m pretty sure I’m not going but then I have second thoughts. Although, Im fairly certain it will be as boring and uneventful as prom.

It will be. Nothing eventful ever happens there.
I don’t know if the novelty of 6″ blocks of wood on my feet will EVER wear off. But maybe I’m just being optimistic. Bravo to you for figuring out the Jeffrey Campbell loophole. I’m beginning to think JCs are a complete waste of money. Bakers are the true underground champs.

Maybe not, but they are comfy.

I’m really digging these pseudo clogs Alicia! You didn’t mention who made them, but I’m assuming from the last comment, that they are Bakers and you know I love me some Bakers! I say down with JC and up with Bakes!

I’m a big fan of Jeffrey Campbell, but these are pretty much identical to the Snick & the price is right. I just checked out Bakers & they have a belt w/ studs on it that is fabulous! I’m all shopped out though. Anyway, you look fabulous as always.

Bakers.Com is somthing crucial this i can attest to!! u make looking good look good and i love ur camo bottoms.when u think about it clog or no clog, if it has a high comfortable wedge i am all over it. who cares about the details if it works right?!

I love them and the tshirt. Since, I don’t bother with trend I think that I could wear these for a while. I have a mule very similar only they are beaded on top. I like JC but not enough to fork over a mini fortune for them
