You know normally I love every single thing you do, but you really should have put the warning “Try not to get lost in all this funk…” at the beginning because now I am very lost in all this funk…so so lost.

you know what was EPIC about Ricky and like so many other people of his kind? They were limitless…..they didn’t allow labels and sterotypes from getting in the way of their FUNK ya know?. The Guy was Funkified in ALL TIGHT EVERTHING with FUCKING braids and baggin chicks left to right and ppl didn’t spend time arguing whether he is Gay or Not. Flash Forward , to our day any hint of ‘otherness’ is automatically labeled as gay. somehow the label gets in the way of appreciating what is, ppl preoccupy themsleves with the wrong details instead of embracing the music or talent…they can barely recognize. that is something that we are lacking as a generation. Artists are not allowed to be who they are. u know how you read a comment thread on a music video in Youtube and the whole time you are thinking “these idiots have no bloddy idea what they are on about”? that how it is ALL THE TIME these days in terms of how ‘fans’ view ‘artists’ As people’s minds have narrowed over the decades so have there appreciation for awesomeness.
ok before i write yet another epistle, i’m gonna just say, COCAINE IS A HELL OF A DRUG!!

Oh god, thank you for reminding me how hilarious those Rick James stories from Chappelle’s Show are. They’re second only to the Wayne Brady sketch. Now I’m going to be quoting Chappelle like it’s 2005.
