instant vintage : 07.2010 : …tea time… (Superfresh)
I’m not usually moved when I see editorials, but this one right here? MAH-VELLOUS.
“Gossip Girls” shot by Joseph Sinclair for Pride Magazine. Spotted at Get Togetha.

Seeing this after learning about Chichia London (which I posted about here) has convinced me that I should look toward London for lessons on effectively using prints and mixing textiles. Miss All-Black-Jeans (with)-Everything has a LOT to learn.

O Yes, this is infinitely doper each time i see it. there is soo much variety with African wax prints….
As an African, i am mighty proud to see our beloved ‘Ankara’ textiles used in such a modern way. i am glad it is getting the attention it deserves, just weird that alot of ppl r now just only checking for them.
the styling, the delivery….just gorgeous…
can’t wait to go ‘home’ and buy the textiles by the bundle and charge ‘em an arm and leg …j/k….lol

I am shying away from prints but this editorial is bright and perfect. I would also like to steal the hats.

Oh, I am so into this editorial!!! My fav shots are the one with the girl on the countertop & the last shot with both ladies on the table. The girl on the right is doing something fierce with her eyes. LOL
I’m loving everythig that’s going on in these shots…the photographer was masterful.

Love this editorial, I have the photos saved for my inspiration board. This year has really been a year of designers exploring African print textiles with modern silhouettes and I love this “lady who lunches” vibe with the tribal prints.
