instant vintage : 01.2010 : 010110 (Confessions)
I was going to do a retrospective of the blog’s last year, but then I realized that everything saved on my computer sucks. I’m one of those people who focuses entirely too much on the moment and would rather forget it all once it’s gone by. You have no idea how badly I want to delete my archives…LOL.
I was also going to do some cool-ish graphic presentation of resolution-y type things you all gave on the last entry, but then I realized that some people might find that invasive…and then I got lazy. I’m only human. Well, that and I suck at follow-up…gotta work on that this year.
I was going to party 2009 away with lots of booze and people I don’t know, but then I decided that staying at home and watching a Twilight Zone marathon with dudeguy was a better idea. It definitely was.
God, reading that back was (kinda) painful.
The truth is that I don’t really do too much, folks. Let’s hope I can change that in the coming year.

I mean, the aughts as a decade were pretty cool, but I’m looking forward to what the onesies* have to bring.
*I refuse to call this coming decade “the tens.” Onesies is much better. Get with it.

I think the unspoken truth about nights out is that the best part is almost always when you get home. So skipping the whole night out part and fast-forwarding to relaxing at home is always a good idea. Having said that, I also resolve to have some sort of life that doesn’t include my computer, camera, and cat this coming year.

YESSS to staying home on the couch on New Year’s Eve. There’s a reason they call it “amateur night.”
I’m not down with calling it “the tens” either (I’m still waiting for people to start saying “twenty ten” instead of “two thousand ten”), but the onesies? I don’t know, boo, I don’t know…It kind of makes me think about poopy diapers.
We can do better than that, no?

i dislike the tens as well! my mom insists on calling it by year…”twenty ten” which sounds kind of robotic and weird ick. why can’t it just be the eighties again!?!? my saddest question that i get annoyed about often. anyhoo…i know exactly what you mean about archives, they are somewhat of a horror. my early early blog posts just remind me of the guy i was dating at the time which is awful…happy happy new year to you and yours though!!!!!!!
