Instant Vintage : 11.2009 : …THAT jacket… (Moment of Vanity, Poppin' Tags)
Because I am who I am and can not completely curb my impulse to shop, last night dudeguy and I hit up one of our many Hoodwill (read: local Goodwill) locations to browse around. I was looking for jeans to Tay Trong out, but the pièce de résistance was definitely this jacket. As with most of my MAY-JAH thrifts, I saw it during a haphazard glance over my left shoulder somewhere between the shoes and the register. After the initial “what the hell is this?” moment, I had to show dudeguy. Shockingly enough, he approved.
“You have to get that.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah. You have to get that.”
“Even though I look like a linebacker…?”
“You have to get that.”
So I got it. In addition, I snagged one pair of jeans and a Bruce Lee shirt in exchange for all of $16. I could think of no better way to celebrate than to wear it all the next day.

Aaaahhhh…the thrill of a fresh kill after a long days hunt at the “hoodwill.” LOL Seriously though, I love how everything old in fashion is new again. That is so on trend, yet it was made like, 25 years ago. I loves it. And hoodwill has officially made it into my vernacular.
