Instant Vintage : 11.2009 : Confession 003: Wishery (Confessions)
Right now, because of bullshit office politics, bitchassness, and a heaping dose of really bad timing, I’ve become the breadwinner for 8 mouths. Upon hearing the bad absolutely tragic news from dudeguy, all I could think of were the following (and not necessarily in this order):
- Lawd, WHY do I have so many damn cats?!?!?!
- Damn this recession.
- WHAT KIND OF FUCKERY IS THIS!!!
Don’t you hate when these semi-ambiguous concepts like swine-flu, rising unemployment, and Darfur suddenly hit home? I know I do. Moments like that are when you realize that beef is real, life isn’t a fashion-illustrated fairy tale, and your needs and wants are in a dire state of dissonance. Or maybe just mine are. Whatevs.
OHAI real world! Is that you? You’re a lot bitchier than I remeber…
No worries, though. Thank goodness my late daddy (whose birthday, along with mom’s, is today) instilled the values of money and how to properly manage it within me at an early age. Knowledge of that kind is priceless when the shit hits the fan. Especially when you’ve amassed a fair amount of debt via student loans…and have rent…and bills…and a small feline army…
Now if you’ll kindly excuse me, I have to rebudget my entire life and stare longingly at this wish-list that I’ve amassed over the last couple of months. And because I’m not a selfish masochist, I’ll share it with you below.
