I don’t watch the VMA’s. If anything of note happens, I’ll usually google the videos the next day…or week…or something. Exposing my brain matter to the fuckery that presents itself on the show every year is really bad for my health.
I’m sure you all saw it, but I’m reposting Madonna’s opening speech/MJ eulogy. In my humble opinion, the folks over at EBT BET need to take notes on how a tribute is supposed to be done and commit Japanese ritual suicide as advised by Huey in “Hunger Strike” (I highly recommend this episode. HIGHLY). I hate that network. Apparently people who work(ed) on the inside have also reached the conclusion that it’s beyond saving, but I digress.
Side note: is anyone else waiting earnestly for the next season of the Boondocks? AARON, HURRY THE HELL UP!!
This, of course, was followed by a montage of videos and what must have been the former cast of dancers from the “This Is It” tour. If it is, I’m glad to see them on stage. And JANET! Shit. I was just happy to see her performing again. There was a lot of raw emotion up there. Loved it.
If anyone asks, Lady Gaga is so beyond comprehension that I can’t even rate her on a scale that is used for normal performers.
And Kanye knows how to jack up buzz/press/ratings/mass hysteria/the use of the n-word on Twitter/his blog traffic. Contrary to popular belief, he’s actually one of the nicest guys you’d want to meet. =D

In other news, I’m sending a load of shoes over to Shoes and Your Mom. I’m cleaning out my closet and assembling my “army of yes.” This is going to be fun.
I’ll also be attempting a version of this Pleasure Principle dress that I missed out on months ago. It’s strange how I ogle/obsess over/want stuff that is painfully unattainable because of price or the fact that it’s out of stock. Yay for projects.

“He seemed other-wordly” that is the best line I have heard said regarding anyone else. Madonna is bad! That tribute was beautiful and very well-written… *sighs* I missed the VMA’s too, but this caught me up to speed a little. Thanks.
