I am proud of these pants.
Why, Alicia? Why would you be proud of pants?
“Why,” you ask? I’ll tell you why.
These were spotted on an at-the-last-second glance while leaving a flea market last weekend. I was drawn to this bananaballs print (of course) and was shocked when I saw that (a) the tags were still on it and (b) they were my size. I looked over at dudeguy, who put me on a ‘no crazy prints’ ban for a month to see if I could manage, and he overwhelmingly nodded in favor. Actually, he looked dead in my face and said, “you HAVE to buy those.” Can’t argue with that.
$3 later, they became mine and were dubbed “the pants of insanity,” or poi (yes, the french pronounciation). So yes, I am proud of these pants. Anything this damn good, that looks this nuts, that costs that much deserves accolade. WIN for me.
All that aside, I knew exactly how I wanted to wear these. Simple and loose on top (thank you silk/jersey blended oversized drapey grey shirt of awesomeness) and a blazer to keep it nice and “together” looking…in spite of the clear heels on these shoes. LOL.

I love the pants. I recently bought an insane jacket at a thrift store which kind of reminds me of those pants, except the boyfriend wasn’t as accepting. I put it on and did one of these: “Eh? Eh???” while posing and trying to make the jacket look as good as possible. He still said it looked like something his Chinese grandmother would wear. Oh well, gonna wear it anyway. Thanks for giving me another reason to, haha.
