I just got back from Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion downtown with my chapter.  Plenty of mai tais, a round of Malibu rum, salmon spring rolls, and sushi.  It was good.  Very good.  I’d never had a lobster potsticker before tonight, but I hope to have many more in the future.  Oh yeah.

The Report shoes came today.  These will do nicely.  Very nicely.  The package they came in was a little unsettling (read: the actual shoe box with tape and a shipping label on it), but I can’t complain.  I got one HELLUVA deal.  If anyone out there is interested, there are more here.

I’m still debating on the PLVs.  I was one click away, and stopped short.

Yes, I bought more shoes.  I’m a basket case, I know.

I’m sure you’ve guessed that a shoe’s turnaround time in my closet is not that long.  Untrue.  Only shoes that are bought on sheer impulse have a quick turnaround time.  When I covet, put off, covet, put off, covet, then cave…those, THOSE, are the shoes that I hang on to.  Trust.

I had pretty much given up on finding my Holy Grail Marni wedges in grey and black (probably because the color combination I wanted didn’t exist…LOL).  Ebay left me upset, and every online retailer made a conscious effort to not let me be great by not sotcking them.  After months of looking, I was resigned to believing I’d never find them…that is, until Ashe posted about the Pour La Victoire Felicia.  I had no clue these existed.  I blame you all for not telling me.

As for the lovely Report Signature shoes on the bottom, well those will satisfy a long held need for a crazy colored suede pump.  The lucite heel was just icing on the cake.  Reminds me of Chris Rock’s rant about clear heels.   Thank you for the heads up, Elana.  These retail at $175 ($110 on Zappos).  I got them for $38.  With shipping.  WHAM!

How I manage to make rent every month is a mystery to me, too.   LOL.

I’ve been waiting on Zoe and her band to play in L.A.  I might just have to stay out late for this one.

Also of note: work sucks, I bought more shoes, and I’m putting shoes up for sale.  If anyone wears a size 8 out there and has an affinity for black ankle boots, this could be a lucky week for you.  A very lucky week.  If not, I’m going to Lulu’s.

Vintage romper, Neptune, purse from mom, UO fringe sandals

Today, dudeguy and I went to the Melrose Trading Post.  After he jabbed me repeatedly on not having been before, he played the part of  escort as he led me around the ENTIRE place before going to each booth and looking over the many, many things for sale.  I ended up buying some shny things and a wobbly cat…to make jewelry with…that’s it.

I’m going to have to go back without him hovering over my shoulder, making sure I don’t buy anything with a “crazy print.”  Cock-blocker…

Across the street, Love Made was hosting an event at De La Barracuda (remember this post).  Nice vibe and setup and some really interesting vendors were there.  Lots of cool jewelry.  I didn’t manage to pick anything up because HE was complaining about the heat and being tired, so we skipped and went back home.

I swear…SoCal sunshine won’t let me be great.  When I need the weather to be gloomy and overcast (ideal conditions for outdoor shopping), it’s scorching hot.  Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
